Latest Jobs in Punjab for College Teaching Interns (CTIs) October 2024
The Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Punjab, is announcing the recruitment of 7354 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) (including a 5% quota for minorities and a 3% quota for persons with disabilities) for a period of six months (November 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025).
Who can apply?
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent (MS/M.Phil/Ph.D) for BS colleges.
- Applicants for all other colleges, including Community Colleges, must hold at least a Master’s degree or a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree (FYDP) with a minimum of 2nd division in the relevant subject.
- There is no age limit.
Selection Process:
- Applications will be accepted online from October 2nd to October 7th, 2024. A list of available positions will be displayed on the notice boards of each college (male and female) on October 2nd.
- A tentative merit list will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned college on October 12th.
- Candidates can submit complaints regarding the merit list to the Deputy Director (Colleges) from October 13th to 15th.
- The final merit list will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned college on October 17th.
- Interviews will be conducted from October 18th to October 22nd.
- A list of successful candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned college on October 24th.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Selected CTIs will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000/- disbursed through cross cheques or bank accounts.
- Two casual leaves per month will be allowed.
- No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided.
Important Notes:
- The placement of CTIs is temporary and can be terminated by the Selection Committee at any time due to unsatisfactory performance.
- CTIs cannot form unions or associations.
- Selected CTIs must join within seven days of receiving the offer of placement.
- This placement does not confer any right to regular employment.
- An experience certificate will be issued to CTIs who successfully complete their tenure, provided they meet other criteria.
Selection Criteria:
- Qualification marks will be awarded based on the degree level achieved (semester or annual system).
- Bonus marks will be awarded for holding top positions in the university or BISE exams.
- Interview performance will also be considered for selection.

Additional Information:
- The recruitment process is intended to be transparent. Principals of colleges are required to comply with all guidelines.
- Enrolment of students in third-shift classes will not be considered for needs assessment of CTIs.
- Interview marks will not be used as a disqualification criterion.
- The HEC formula will be used for converting CGPA into percentage marks for all universities.
- The induction of CTIs is a temporary measure to improve service delivery. It should not replace the permanent teaching staff. CTIs will be solely responsible for academic duties and should not be involved in college administration.
